Fronted by Alexisonfire’s George Pettit, Dead Tired build songs around massive riffs, violent tempo shifts, and Pettit’s characteristically scorched vocal delivery, opening with the doomy “Edge of Entropy” before charging through “Grey Business,” “False Populist,” the title track, and “Restrict Life.”\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe album turns its anger toward social self-interest, political manipulation, fear, and the sense of living through collective decline, but it also finds recurring natural imagery—dust storms, hornets, entropy, and ominous landscapes—to make those concerns feel elemental. “Bad Thoughts” features Cancer Bats’ Liam Cormier, “Dust Storm” brings in Comeback Kid’s Andrew Neufeld, and the closing “The Pull” features The Flatliners’ Chris Cresswell; these guests broaden the record’s communal Canadian-hardcore character without interrupting its momentum.
