King Kong (1933), directed by Merian C. Cooper and Ernest B. Schoedsack, is one of the most influential adventure films in cinema history. The story follows filmmaker Carl Denham, who sets out on an expedition to the mysterious Skull Island to capture spectacular footage. Accompanied by actress Ann Darrow and his crew, Denham discovers a land filled with prehistoric creatures and, most notably, a giant gorilla named Kong. When the island’s natives kidnap Ann to offer her as a sacrifice, Kong seizes her, sparking a series of thrilling encounters as the crew struggles to rescue her.

The film is best known for its groundbreaking special effects, created by Willis O’Brien using stop-motion animation. The iconic scenes of Kong battling a Tyrannosaurus and later climbing the Empire State Building with Ann in hand remain some of the most memorable in film history.
