All Gates Open (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)
Blood Incantation
All Gates Open (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is a release by Denver's Blood Incantation, out June 5, 2026 via Century Media Records, that functions as both a standalone soundtrack album and an origin document for the band's acclaimed 2024 album Absolute Elsewhere. The four tracks — "Balance" (20:47), "Flight" (20:37), "Dawn" (5:43), and "Rain" (13:43) — were actually composed in 2021, before Blood Incantation decamped to Berlin's legendary Hansa Studios in the summer of 2023 to record Absolute Elsewhere, making this, as guitarist and vocalist Paul Riedl has described it, "the very first seed of what led to Absolute Elsewhere — this is where that era started." Previously available only as part of the deluxe artbook edition of that album, this marks the first standalone release for the soundtrack, including its first-ever vinyl pressing.
The music itself is a departure from Blood Incantation's death metal foundation, inhabiting instead a spacious, ambient, and drone-oriented soundworld that Napalm Records has described as "the pastoral yang energy to the dark atmosphere of Timewave Zero." Mixed and mastered by Arthur Rizk, with retro-futuristic analog collage artwork by Jodie Day, the release is accompanied by a 73-minute documentary directed by Niklas Tschaikowsky and Tammo Dehn, chronicling Blood Incantation's month-long residency at Hansa Studios and featuring appearances by members of Tangerine Dream, Hällas, and Sijjin. Available in digital, CD/Blu-ray, and multiple limited-edition vinyl variants, the release frames the genesis of the band's most ambitious era as a self-contained work — an immersive prequel to Absolute Elsewhere rather than a sequel or a simple companion piece.
