Description

Alors Regarde (Édition Anniversaire) is a reissue of Patrick Bruel's landmark second studio album, originally released in 1989 on RCA Records, repackaged and expanded to mark its 35th anniversary and released on December 20, 2024 via Sony Music Entertainment France. The original album was a phenomenon in French popular music — sold to over three million copies in physical format and certified triple Diamant — and it remains one of the defining records of French pop from the era, giving rise to what the French press dubbed "Bruelmania." Its classics, including "Place des Grands Hommes," "Casser la Voix," "J'te l'dis quand même," "Décalé," and the title track "Alors Regarde," are all present in their original forms. The anniversary edition expands the sixteen-track original to include five bonus tracks: most notably the very first studio recording of "Qui a le droit" — a song that became one of Bruel's signature pieces — alongside four previously released versions of his biggest hits recorded in Spanish and Italian for international markets.

The release was accompanied by a restored HD version of the music video for "Place des Grands Hommes" and timed to coincide with Bruel's ongoing concert activities, including a showcase event in Paris in December 2024 and a major anniversary tour — Alors Regarde 35, la Tournée — planned across France from June through December 2026. The reissue is available on vinyl, CD, and digital. The album's enduring cultural weight in France is considerable: it launched Bruel from a promising young singer into a household name, and the anniversary edition offers both longtime fans a chance to revisit the record in expanded form and new listeners a comprehensive entry point into one of French pop's most celebrated catalogs.
