Description
Finally available again, Annihilation Principle is the rare and long-sought fourth album from Laaz Rockit, the thrash metal band from Berkeley in the San Francisco Bay Area. First released in 1989 and recorded in the late summer of 1988, it's the final album from the band's classic line-up, and it finds them firing on all cylinders. Heavy, fast and full of muscle, the record builds on the hard-hitting sound of 1987's Know Your Enemy. It's a snapshot of the Bay Area thrash scene at its peak, full of razor-sharp riffs, pounding drums and big, shout-along choruses.
From the explosive opener "Fire In The Hole" to the epic closer "The Omen," there's no letting up. Highlights include the hard-charging "Bad Blood," the rapid-fire "Chasin' Charlie" and a ferocious thrash take on the Dead Kennedys classic "Holiday In Cambodia." This official reissue has been remastered and comes with an updated booklet, so it sounds better than ever. It's a must-have for old-school thrash fans and collectors who've been hunting for this one, and a great find for anyone discovering the band for the first time. Crank it loud.
