Released on August 7, 2026 via Interscope Records, Chuck Timely & The Hourglass is the third studio album by Role Model, the project of singer-songwriter Tucker Pillsbury. Framed through the fictional, barroom-romantic character of Chuck Timely, the 12-track record follows a restless narrator looking for connection while becoming increasingly aware of time, loneliness, and his own past mistakes. It follows 2024’s Kansas Anymore but shifts further toward a classic singer-songwriter and Americana sensibility, using the hourglass as an image for the anxiety of time passing and the hope that life can still change.
Musically, the album favors warm, slickly produced acoustic guitars, piano, upright bass, country-pop rhythms, soft rock, and gospel-tinged vocal arrangements over Role Model’s earlier alt-pop leanings. “Chuck’s Mantra” begins with a choir-backed prayer for a better outlook, while “High Hopes 3000” turns a search for reinvention into a bright, piano-driven singalong. “Song Is All You Get,” “Chasing Midnight,” and “Service Receipt” bring country and folk colors to tales of nightlife and romantic pursuit; “Honeydew” strips the sound back for one of the album’s most vulnerable moments.
