Elisabeth

Before the sold-out arenas and chart-topping hits, there was Elisabeth. It's Zach Bryan's raw, heartfelt second studio album, first released in May 2020 and recorded by Bryan himself on a laptop in a barn behind his house. That do-it-yourself spirit is exactly what makes the record so special. Stripped of polish and full of honesty, Elisabeth captures Bryan's gift for storytelling: plain-spoken songs about love, loss, leaving home and finding your way, delivered with a voice that sounds like it's coming from the next chair over. It's country music at its most personal, with Americana and folk running through every note.

This 2LP vinyl edition brings the album to the turntable, where its unvarnished, close-to-the-mic sound belongs. Highlights include the single "Heading South," along with fan favourites "Revival," "Loom" and "Leaving." These are the songs that helped turn a self-released record into the start of something much bigger. Whether you're a longtime fan who's been with him from the beginning or just discovering where it all started, Elisabeth is an essential piece of any Zach Bryan collection. Put it on, drop the needle and let it play from start to finish.
