Eterno

Eterno is a 2025 cover album by bachata star Prince Royce, released on May 16, 2025 via Sony Music Latin and his own Smiling Prince Music, Inc. Framed as a nostalgic, conceptual project, it revisits the formula that launched his career with his 2010 bilingual bachata version of “Stand by Me,” this time expanding it into a full set of classic English‑language pop and soul hits reimagined with modern bachata arrangements and Spanglish lyrics. The album runs 13 tracks and about 39 minutes, and Royce has said he titled it Eterno because these are songs that feel “eternal”—timeless staples he grew up with and now wants to reintroduce to younger audiences and Latin American listeners through his own sound.

The track list includes tropical reinterpretations of “Dancing in the Moonlight,” “How Deep Is Your Love” (Bee Gees), “Stuck on You” (Lionel Richie), “Right Here Waiting” (Richard Marx), “Can’t Help Falling in Love” (Elvis Presley), “If Only for One Night” (Luther Vandross), “I Want It That Way” (Backstreet Boys), “All Out of Love” (Air Supply), “Yesterday” (The Beatles), “My Girl” (The Temptations), “Killing Me Softly” (Roberta Flack/Fugees), “I Just Called to Say I Love You” (Stevie Wonder), and “Go Your Own Way” (Fleetwood Mac). Each cover keeps the core melodies and romantic spirit of the original intact but adds syncopated bachata guitar, tropical percussion, and bilingual verses, with Royce’s smooth, melismatic vocals giving the songs a new emotional shading. Critics generally welcomed Eterno as a charming, beach‑bar‑ready collection that celebrates the classics while showcasing Royce’s strengths as a romantic interpreter; reviews from outlets like Variety, Billboard Español, and Digital Journal emphasized the project’s heartfelt, “music‑geek” attention to harmonies and arrangements and praised how his versions feel fresh without disrespecting the originals.
