Free Spirits

CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso’s Free Spirits is the Argentine duo’s second studio album: a 12-track, 38-minute explosion of Latin pop, alternative rap, electronic music, rock, funk, bossa nova, and dance rhythms. Released in March 2026 through 5020 Records, the album embraces the pair’s unpredictable, performance-driven identity, moving rapidly among styles while keeping a bright, maximalist pop sensibility. The opening “Nada Nuevo” sets a theatrical, satirical tone before “Goo Goo Ga Ga,” featuring Jack Black, turns toward a suave Latin groove; “No Me Sirve Más” overlays Spanish-language rap with electronic production, and the more relaxed “Vida Loca” provides a breezier reset.

The album uses absurd humor and exaggerated self-presentation to poke fun at wellness culture, celebrity, masculinity, and the constant demand to perform happiness, but it also makes room for desire, anxiety, insecurity, and real emotional fatigue. Its collaborators amplify that restless global-pop approach: Anderson .Paak joins the bachata-tinged “Ay Ay Ay,” Sting appears on the rock-leaning “Hasta Jesús Tuvo un Mal Día,” and Fred again.. helps propel the dramatic “Lo Quiero Ya!” Tracks such as “Muero,” “Ha Ha,” “Soy Increíble,” “Himno del Mediocre,” and “Todo Ray” keep shifting the album’s emotional and sonic ground. Free Spirits is deliberately excessive, funny, and hard to categorize, but its genre collisions serve a coherent vision—two artists turning chaos, satire, and vulnerability into a flamboyant celebration of creative freedom.
