Full Circle is Tom Misch’s long‑awaited second solo album, released March 27, 2026 on his Beyond The Groove imprint and arriving eight years after his debut Geography. Written mostly on guitar and piano rather than built from samples and loops, it was recorded between London, Suffolk, Portugal, and Nashville with producers Ian Fitchuk and Daniel Tashian and a live band, aiming for the warmth and simplicity of a 1970s singer‑songwriter LP while still drawing on his roots in soul, hip‑hop, and jazz. Lyrically the record is his most personal to date, circling themes of family, mental health, friendship, nature, and the work of finding his way “back to himself” after burnout and a long hiatus.

Across its eleven tracks, Full Circle moves from soft, folk‑soul openers into more groove‑driven material and then into a darker, more anxious back half. Early songs like “Red Moon” and “Slow Tonight” update his familiar mellow pocket with live drums, jazz‑inflected chords, and understated funk, while “Sisters With Me” and “Old Man” are direct, unguarded songs about siblings, aging, and seeing his father in the mirror. Later tracks such as “Running Away,” “Goldie,” “Echo from the Flames,” and “Fear Can’t Hurt Any More Than a Dream” dig into anxiety, fear, and near‑breakdown imagery, often over deceptively gentle arrangements, giving the album a sense of quiet emotional arc rather than a collection of vibes. Critics generally describe Full Circle as a stripped‑back and mature step: less flashy and loop‑driven than his earlier work, sometimes almost too subtle, but frequently rewarding in how clearly it foregrounds songwriting, voice, and lived experience over production tricks.
