Hollow

Billy Morrison’s Hollow is the British guitarist and singer-songwriter’s fourth solo album, a 12-track modern hard-rock record built around forceful riffs, dark electronic accents, and themes of self-examination. Released in August 2026, it follows 2024’s The Morrison Project and retains its collaborative structure: Morrison handles lead vocals on roughly half of the material while inviting a wide-ranging group of friends and peers to take the microphone or contribute instrumental spotlight moments. The title track sets an introspective tone, probing emotional emptiness and personal fracture, while “Take Me As I Am,” “Forgive Me,” “Tearing Down the Walls,” and “Butterfly Effect” balance direct, angst-charged writing with polished active-rock production.

The guest list gives Hollow much of its variety. “Becoming” pairs Godsmack’s Sully Erna with Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt; Marilyn Manson appears on “The Tailor”; Chuck D, B-Real, and Darryl “DMC” McDaniels bring hip-hop weight to “No Suspects”; Steve Stevens features on “Another Day”; Duff McKagan joins “Leave No Trace”; Chad Gray sings on “Devil in Your Eyes”; and Dexter Holland contributes to “Never Gonna Change.” Though these collaborations reach into rap, metal, punk, and classic hard rock, Morrison keeps the album cohesive through his heavy guitar-centered writing and a focus on personal truth over trends. Hollow is a tense but accessible record that uses an all-star cast not as a novelty, but to explore different shades of confrontation, recovery, acceptance, and defiance.
