House Of Cards

The Amity Affliction’s House of Cards is a heavy, emotional metalcore album that finds the Australian band leaning into collapse, grief, and survival. Released in 2026, it pairs crushing riffs, electronic textures, harsh screams, and soaring clean choruses in the band’s familiar style, but with a darker and more dramatic atmosphere. Songs like “Kickboxer,” “House of Cards,” “Heaven Sent,” and “Bleed” balance aggression with vulnerability, making the album feel both punishing and deeply personal.

The record’s mood is tense and unstable, matching its title’s image of something fragile that could fall apart at any moment. Tracks such as “Break These Chains,” “Swan Dive,” “Afterlife,” “Reap What You Sow,” and “Eternal War” move through themes of pain, consequence, inner conflict, and emotional endurance. Overall, House of Cards presents The Amity Affliction in a raw and forceful mode, using their blend of melodic hooks and heavy breakdowns to turn personal devastation into cathartic metalcore.
