Description
Shania Twain’s Little Miss Twain is her seventh studio album, released by Republic Records on July 24, 2026. The 15-track, roughly 50-minute project is framed as one of her most personal records, looking back toward her working-class childhood in Timmins, Ontario, as well as the resilience, ambition, and complicated memories that shaped her. Musically, it shifts away from the pop-heavy sheen of Queen of Me toward a broader roots-oriented palette, combining country with blues, gospel, soul, rock, and Americana textures that suit Twain’s lower, more weathered vocal register.
The album balances autobiographical reflection with playful, character-driven songs and romantic uplift. “Stranger Things” opens with the image of a train gaining speed, “Little Miss Twain” pairs her with Tanya Tucker in a self-portrait of determination and survival, and “Dirty Rosie” continues the album’s more earthy country-rock direction. Elsewhere, “Faded Blue Jeans” features Josh Homme, “Take It to the River” features The War and Treaty, and songs such as “Northern Town,” “Quit My Life,” “Problematic,” “New Love,” and “Rockstars” move through small-town memory, freedom, love, and self-reinvention. The result is a deliberately wide-ranging return to Twain’s roots: a warm, sometimes eccentric country-pop record that uses personal history as its emotional anchor.
