Pink Floyd is a legendary British rock band formed in 1965, known for their innovative sound and thought-provoking lyrics. They initially gained popularity in the psychedelic rock scene but evolved into a more progressive style that incorporated elements of art rock, leading to some of the most acclaimed albums in music history. The band's lineup included members Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Nick Mason, and Richard Wright, each contributing to the unique sound that defines Pink Floyd.

Their seminal works include "The Dark Side of the Moon," released in 1973, which explores themes of mental illness, consumerism, and existentialism. Another landmark album, "The Wall," released in 1979, tells a compelling story of isolation and despair, encapsulated by some of the band's most famous tracks. Other notable albums include "Wish You Were Here," a tribute to Barrett, and "Animals," which critiques capitalism and societal structures. Pink Floyd's blend of experimental soundscapes and philosophical lyrics has left a lasting impact on the music industry and continues to resonate with audiences around the world.
