Monsters We Made

Kris Barras Band’s Monsters We Made is an 11-track studio album released August 14, 2026, through Earache Records. Recorded, mixed, and produced by Josiah J. Manning at Momentum Studios in Devon, the approximately 39-minute collection continues the British band’s evolution from blues beginnings toward hard rock. Led by former MMA fighter-turned-musician Kris Barras, the group presents a compact program, with most songs running between three and four minutes. The title track opens the album, followed by “Beautiful Lie,” “Riot of One,” and “Unspoken,” establishing a tightly sequenced first stretch rather than making room for extended instrumental excursions.

“All Falls Down” and “Alive” carry the sequence into its second half, where “Otherside” and “Fake” are the only tracks to exceed four minutes, before “Rewind,” “End of Me,” and “Levitate” complete the original album. A separate Ultimate Edition offers another perspective on the material, adding piano versions of “Unspoken,” “Otherside,” “Beautiful Lie,” and “Monsters We Made.” Those alternate arrangements extend the release to 15 tracks and approximately 53 minutes, giving listeners a direct comparison between the main album’s full-band presentation and a piano-centered treatment of four songs. The standard edition remains the concise core statement, while the expanded version explores how the same material works in a different setting.
