Neon Summer Skin is the fourth full‑length album by LA‑based, Syria‑born singer‑songwriter Azniv Korkejian, who records as Bedouine, released on June 5, 2026 via her own Bedouine Music and distributed by Thirty Tigers. Written largely after a return trip to her childhood home in Saudi Arabia, just before her parents’ retirement to Armenia, the record is framed by Bedouine as her “first album written with a purpose”—a deliberate attempt to process the feeling of not being ready to stop “being somebody’s kid” and to honor her family’s migration story across Armenia, Syria, and Saudi Arabia. Across 11 songs and about 42 minutes, it becomes an exploration of memory, nostalgia, displacement, and identity, treating the past as a living presence rather than a fixed backdrop.

Musically, Neon Summer Skin rethinks Bedouine’s folk‑rock / folk‑pop palette by threading in baroque pop, subtle jazz touches, and bossa‑inflected rhythms, while keeping her characteristic warmth and intimacy intact. Piano—her first instrument—ripples through openers like “On My Own,” “Long Way To Fall,” and “Always On Time,” while brass arrangements (and her own trumpet playing) add a hazy, summery glow to “One Thing Right” and the title track, matching lyrics that evoke childhood pools, chlorine, and neon twilight. The album’s center is a spoken‑word recorder conversation with her mother leading into “Canopies,” followed later by a solo‑piano reprise, which turns a single family story (her mother’s time in an orphanage to escape abuse) into a structural and emotional hinge for the record.
