Outlander: Season 8 (Original Television Soundtrack) is the score for the eighth and final season of the Starz series Outlander, composed by Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning Bear McCreary and released via Sony Classical — digitally on March 6, 2026, with a CD edition following on May 22. The album spans 15 tracks and just over 76 minutes, representing what McCreary himself described as "the culmination of more than a decade of work." As the closing chapter of a score McCreary has shaped since the series began, the album carries the full weight of that long creative arc, built on his signature blend of Celtic instrumentation, sweeping orchestral themes, and inventive musical storytelling. The most prominent element of the release is a newly recorded version of the series' beloved main title theme, "The Skye Boat Song" — performed in two versions by legendary Scottish singer Annie Lennox, who McCreary called "the only artist I hoped to work with to craft a satisfying conclusion to this musical arc." Lennox, who grew up singing the traditional Scottish folk song in Aberdeen, opens her rendition a cappella before a surge of strings builds beneath her, lending the finale's title sequence a gravity and poignancy befitting the end of the series.

Beyond the title theme, the album traces the emotional arcs of the show's key characters and its climactic Revolutionary War storyline through a sequence of deeply felt cues. Character-focused pieces like "Bree and Roger," "William," "Ian and Rachel's New Beginning," and the lengthy "A Fraser Forevermore" carry the intimacy and warmth of the series' family drama, while the battle sequences reach their peak in "Kings Mountain" and the sweeping 13-minute closer "The Battlefield Is Ours," both featuring Scottish musician Darren MacLean, with McCreary's wife Raya Yarbrough — who sang "The Skye Boat Song" throughout the earlier seasons — also joining on the finale cue. An additional track, "Across the Sea and Sky," written by McCreary and his brother Brendan McCreary and performed by Yarbrough, was added to the digital album on May 16 following its use as the series finale's end credits song, bringing the full scope of the show's musical farewell together in one release.
