Paradise
Chase Atlantic
Paradise is the third EP by Australian alternative trio Chase Atlantic — Clinton Cave, Mitchel Cave, and Christian Anthony — originally released on December 20, 2016, via BMG Rights Management, and reissued in 2026 on vinyl pressed on black ice with pink and blue splatter, featuring an exclusive alternate cover and a Chase Atlantic trading card as part of BMG's ongoing series bringing the band's early catalog to 12" format. The five-track, 19-minute EP was released during a prolific stretch of output that preceded the band's major label signing and full-length debut, and it represents a confident step forward in their sound — tightening the melodic instincts of their earlier Nostalgia and Dalliance EPs and pushing further into R&B-inflected pop territory while retaining the atmospheric guitar textures that had distinguished them from the start.
Across its five tracks — "Paradise," "Slow Down," "Moonlight," "Obsessive," and "Falling" — the EP showcases the trio at a transitional moment, balancing sun-drenched, hook-driven pop production with darker, more sensual undertones and a subtle funk pulse. "Slow Down" and "Moonlight" in particular became fan favorites that remain among the band's most streamed early recordings, capturing the effortless melodic fluency that would carry them into their critically noted self-titled debut album in October 2017. The Paradise EP is now regarded as an important document in the band's early development — a record that helped crystallize the genre-blending aesthetic of alt-pop, R&B, and indie rock that has defined Chase Atlantic's identity ever since, and one that has found a second life with new listeners through its vinyl reissues.
