Description

Seven Second Surgery (19 ¼ Anniversary Edition) is a special reissue of JUNO-nominated British Columbia pop-punk band Faber Drive's 2007 debut album, released on May 1, 2026 via 604 Records. The original Seven Second Surgery — discovered and signed by Chad Kroeger of Nickelback to his 604 Records label — established Faber Drive as a fixture of the mid-2000s Canadian pop-punk scene and has since accumulated over 90 million streams, producing the Gold-certified single "When I'm With You" and the Platinum-certified "Tongue Tied." The tongue-in-cheek "19 ¼ anniversary" framing — rather than waiting for the conventional 20th — was a deliberate bit of fan-friendly irreverence, with Exclaim! noting that "Faber Drive couldn't even wait for the actual 20th anniversary."

The 13-track anniversary edition expands on the original album with remastered versions of the core songs alongside several new additions. The centerpiece bonus material includes three freshly recorded acoustic renditions — "Second Chance," "Tongue Tied" (featuring FM Static and Trevor McNevan), and "Time Bomb" — plus a previously unreleased track, "Died In Your Arms," a cover of the 1987 Cutting Crew hit, which was released early as a preview single on April 10, 2026. The reissue also features upscaled music videos, as discussed by frontman Dave Faber in a May 2026 interview that also touched on the album's original recording sessions with producer Joey Moi and Faber's vocal surgery during the band's early years.
