Show The World What's Underneath is the debut full-length album by San Diego pop-punk trio Super Sometimes, released on May 15, 2026 through Pure Noise Records. The band — formed by dual vocalist/guitarists Gabriel Muñoz and Dylan Guzman alongside drummer Matthew Ludwig, all of whom are in their late teens and early twenties — built their following through viral singles including "Spork" and a string of EPs, most recently 2025's From Then & Now. Produced by Zach Tuch, the 10-track record was written and recorded as the band were actively living out the experiences it documents. As Guzman described it to Rock Sound, "the record is very much a coming-of-age story for all of us, documenting the three of us going through the trials and tribulations of life between the ages of 18 and 21." The title itself was chosen because it captures the album's core ethos — a declaration of vulnerability and transparency as their formal introduction to the scene, "planting their flag" as the band put it.

Sonically, the record bridges late-1990s and early-2000s pop-punk nostalgia with a contemporary edge, blending skate-punk grit, dual vocal harmonies, and infectious melodic hooks. Thematically it moves through romantic turmoil, longing, and coming-of-age malaise, with opener "Afterthought" — a lovelorn anthem backed by heavy distortion and clean guitar riffs — establishing the album's emotional temperature immediately. As New Noise Magazine noted, while the pop-punk foundations are clear, the record also draws from the heavier, more emotionally raw side of the mid-to-late 2000s, with some tracks carrying a distinctly emo or late Blink-182 feel, and the album peaks in its middle section with "See This Coming" and the title track standing out as particular highlights. Rough Trade described it as "Super Sometimes staking their flag as a new torchbearer of modern pop-punk — a love letter to the bands that inspired them and a clear statement of where they are headed next," and CaliberTV awarded it an 8 out of 10.
