Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu — Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is the film score to the 2026 Lucasfilm feature directed by Jon Favreau, composed and produced by Academy Award-winning Swedish composer Ludwig Göransson. Released digitally by Walt Disney Records on May 15, 2026, the full album spans 21 tracks and nearly 78 minutes, with a standard 13-track vinyl edition following on June 5 and a special limited-edition die-cut 10-inch vinyl in the shape of the Mandalorian's helmet — featuring two exclusive score cues — released on May 22. Göransson, who had previously won back-to-back Emmy Awards for his work on the Disney+ series, returned to the universe he described as meeting "one of my best friends again," this time with significantly expanded resources: a 106-piece orchestra and a 64-person choir, compared to the 70-piece ensemble used on the series. As he explained to StarWars.com, "When you work on a feature movie like this, you have more time. The scenes are longer. It's a bigger scope."

The score retains the sonic identity Göransson established on the series — anchored by the iconic rolling drums, lonesome bass recorder, and spaghetti Western-inflected main theme — while expanding and embellishing familiar motifs to fill a theatrical canvas. The main title cue, "This Is the Way," opens the album with nearly eight minutes of eerie synths, tense percussive thunderclaps, electronic beats, and bursts of brass, before giving way to the album's centrepiece track, "The Mandalorian and Grogu," which delivers what Zanobard Reviews calls a "triumphant choir and western-style orchestra" rendition of the main theme. Grogu's four-note theme reappears throughout alongside the Mandalorian Creed motif, and the album's lengthy action set pieces — "The Pit Fight," "Rotta Chase," and "Do We Run? Or Do We Fight?" — showcase the upgraded brass and percussion in full force. The score closes on a hopeful note with "Your Turn, Grogu," weaving the Mando and Grogu themes together on uplifting orchestra to bring the chapter to a close.
