Stone Cold Anger is the sixteenth studio album by New York hardcore veterans Pro-Pain, released on May 15, 2026 via Napalm Records — their first full-length in eleven years and their debut on the label. The album marks the return of guitarist Eric Klinger, who previously played with the band from 1999 to 2007 and handled all production duties, recording, mixing, and mastering the record at EKG and Blackout studios. Clocking in at just over 33 minutes across ten tracks, it is one of the shortest albums in the band's catalog, but wastes no time making its intentions clear: opener "Oceans of Blood" launches the record at full intensity, and the pace rarely lets up through bruising cuts like "March of the Giants," "Demonic Intervention," and the anthemic "Scorched Earth."

Thematically, the album is rooted in political fury and social frustration, addressing government corruption, economic pressure, tax-funded wars, and collective anger — territory Pro-Pain has always inhabited comfortably. Vocalist and bassist Gary Meskil's characteristically raspy, aggressive bark remains as commanding as ever, anchoring the band's signature blend of hardcore and groove metal. As The Razor's Edge noted, the album picks up exactly where 2015's Voice of Rebellion left off, and Zware Metalen awarded it 85/100, arguing it is "not a comeback album" so much as a strong sixteenth entry in a long-running catalog. Critics across the board praised its uncompromising adherence to the Pro-Pain formula — heavy grooves, muscular riffs, gang-shout moments, and a street-level attitude that has defined the band for over three decades.
