Tammy (2014) is a road comedy film directed by Ben Falcone in his directorial debut, co-written by and starring Melissa McCarthy as the titular character. The film follows Tammy, a down-on-her-luck woman who, after losing her job and discovering her husband's infidelity, embarks on a road trip with her eccentric, alcoholic grandmother, Pearl, played by Susan Sarandon. The duo heads to Niagara Falls, encountering a series of misadventures along the way. The cast also features Allison Janney, Gary Cole, Mark Duplass, Dan Aykroyd, and Kathy Bates.
