Bats Day at Disneyland may have started in 1999 as a small goth/industrial meetup, but it quickly turned into one of the biggest annual takeovers by the punk, goth, metal, and alternative subculture communities in Southern California.
It’s completely unofficial and totally DIY, a perfect example of how punk scenes build their own traditions without waiting for corporate approval. Every year, thousands of people in patched jackets, ripped denim, band tees, studs, spikes, and underground fashion show up to reclaim the park for a day of counterculture visibility.
If you’re heading to Bats Day and want to rep real punk style, music-inspired art, and indie-designed merch, Neesh Labs has you covered with our bold graphic T-shirts, vinyl nerd gear, and alternative designs made for people who don’t fit the “Disney aesthetic” and never wanted to.
